Friends of the Riverfront Foundation
This is an exciting time for Plainfield. The long-term vision of the Village to create a unique riverfront corridor along the forty-four acres on the west side of the DuPage River, is becoming a reality.
As friends of the Riverfront- we seek to protect, preserve and improve this remarkable corridor while planning and incorporating the attractive areas for family and organizational activities in the near and the distant future.
Our projects are many – ranging from community events, landscaping duties and to building maintenance. As caretakers of the decommissioned waste water plant, volunteers have completely restored the building which now includes an educational display centered about the role the DuPage River played in the development of Plainfield.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit group of interested citizens working in cooperation with the Village of Plainfield and the Plainfield Park District. There are untold opportunities on the horizon. Won’t you consider joining us?
